Okay, after reading your last post and the notes left on it, I need to set the record straight on ASMR. Sorry angelkiller, It isn’t tricking yourself into a meditative state by focusing on whispering. I can tell you beyond a shadow of doubt that I have ASMR and i’ve felt it my entire life. If you have ASMR you will know it- you’ve probably felt it before, and actively seek the feeling out. For me it comes on quickly and its a pretty acute feeling, there’s no mistaking it for something else. The whispering doesn’t even do it for me, I think its really annoying to be honest. I normally watch videos of people cleaning things, drawing or getting a haircut, so it’s especially nice to watch your livestreams, EC.

As for me, the moment i discovered this had a name i knew it was something i experienced… but it’s not that frequent in my case.

I’m new to this being a thing with a term so i’m mostly trying to figure out what exactly stimulates my ASMR, out of curiosity.

Speaking of haircuts, i think i recall that getting one would trigger it. Hands on my head and having my hair played with, combined with someone i couldn’t see talking… hmmm. I haven’t had a haircut in many years though.
